Wow legion broken shore. Broken Shore in WoW Legion

.
The Broken Shore can be accessed after completing a scenario that grants access to the Legion's Bane faction. After completing the scenario, you can complete world quests on the Broken Shore and earn reputation with the new faction.

With patch 7.2, the currency from the pre-patch, Nether Shards, has returned again. They are used to purchase reputation rewards with the Legion's Ruin Army and "discarded" blanks for making armor.

THE BUILDINGS

Deliverance Pinnacle is the main base on the Broken Shore. It is there that you can make your “contribution” to the construction of new buildings, which provide various bonuses (including opening access to new content). The one-time fee is 100 Supplies of the Army of Legion's Ruin (given as a reward for completing tasks, obtained from rare elite monsters). Construction is being carried out by one faction from across the region.

The player can build three different buildings - the Mage Tower, the Command Headquarters and the Void Destroyer. Each of these buildings will provide one permanent bonus that applies to everyone, as well as one random bonus that changes when a new building of this type is built. To receive bonuses, you need to talk to Commander Chambers, after constructing a new building.

Upon completion of construction, the Legion armies will attack the erected structure for 3 days until it is completely destroyed. During the attack period, bonuses from construction will not apply. To start new construction, you must wait 1 day.

Tower of Mages

A permanent bonus from the mage tower is Fel Treasures. It opens access to artifact trials, secret Parselmouth chests, and a network of portals.

Artifact Challenges: This is single-player content that allows you to try your hand at fighting powerful opponents. Upon successful completion, the player receives a new appearance for his artifact. For each attempt you have to pay with Void Shards. There are 7 different challenges for each specialization.
Secret Wyrmtongue Chests: Players gain the ability to see Unusual Wyrmtongue hiding places. Opening the chest requires a Parselmouth Cache Key, which can be purchased for 500 Nethershards from Treasure Hunter Ix'reeged. X'reeged appears after completing a quest chain that starts with Pooka, then? . He sells Wandering Parselmouth Essence for 5,000,000 Nether Shards.
Portal Network: The Mage Tower contains portals that allow you to travel through the Broken Isles zones (Azsuna, Highmountain, Val'sharah, Stormheim).
Random bonuses

DISPOSED BLANKS FOR MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT

The player can purchase discarded blanks and Vashreen the Miraculous. Each of the blanks costs 5,000 Nether Shards. These blanks allow you to obtain a piece of equipment for your specialization (there is even a small chance that the item will be legendary).

CERBERAX

The Cerberax is a Legion gunship that flies over the Broken Shore and attacks specific areas. From opponents who will be in the shadow of the ship, you can get beacons used to open portals with demons. These demons drop Nether Shards, as well as materials for crafting items using professions and enhanced beacons that serve to summon additional enemies.

There are several types of beacons.

Broken Shore, also known as Tal"dranat- an area that was once part of Suramar and is located on the southeastern side of the Broken Isles archipelago. Unlike the other islands, the Broken Shore has been at the bottom of the ocean for ten thousand years, until Gul'dan raised this island during the Second War for access to the Tomb of Sargeras.

Several years passed before Gul'dan from the alternative Draenor reached the Tomb and opened a huge portal inside it, through which a new invasion of the Burning Legion began on Azeroth. The first large-scale battle between demons and mortal peoples took place on the Broken Shore. Among the defenders of Azeroth were the Alliance , the Horde and the Argent Crusade, who underestimated the Legion and were crushed.

Story

In ancient times, this land was part of Suramar, and on it stood the huge Temple of Elune, in which priestesses served their moon goddess. With the onset of the War of the Ancients, the demons of the Burning Legion attempted to open a portal within the temple to summon reinforcements to Azeroth. Although they managed to develop a complex magical scheme, the highborne from Suramar, led by Elisande, closed the portal with the help of the Pillars of Creation and left five strong seals that would not allow the demons to reopen it.

When the War of the Ancients ended with the Great Schism, the Temple of Elune and the area around it found themselves on the seabed, where they spent the next thousand years. However, the seals of the highborne were still active and attracted the attention of Aegwynn, the guardian of Tirisfal. She was just looking for a place where she could bury the remains of the avatar of Sargeras, whom she defeated in Northrend. Aegwynn decided that the seals could neutralize the evil that remained in the dead body, and buried it inside the temple. Since then, this place has been called the Tomb of Sargeras. When the Guardians of Tirisfal began to hunt for her, Aegwynn created her refuge here, where she spent several hundred years.

Second War

The Broken Shore during the Second War.

In the Second War, Gul'dan, who learned of the existence of the Tomb, used magic to raise the former temple and surrounding areas from the ocean floor. In subsequent years, the new island was visited by a Horde detachment from Draenor, who arrived for the Scepter of Sargeras, Illidan Stormrage and Maiev Shadowsong with allies. Both the Kirin Tor and the Guardians learned of the existence of this place and tried to ensure that it did not pose a threat. Many cunning magical locks and wards were installed around the tomb, which forever closed the entrance to thieves, adventurers and messengers of evil.

Third War

Battle of the Broken Shore

Khadgar warned the leaders of the Alliance and Horde of the invasion, and the mortal nations of Azeroth immediately sent a massive army directly to the Broken Shore to deal with the demons before it was too late. They underestimated the power of the Burning Legion and were amazed to see the sheer number of demons and their advanced technology. This was not the same Legion they had fought before.

The army consisted of three large divisions - the Alliance, the Horde and the Argent Vanguard. It is likely that the Argent Crusade forces arrived on the Broken Shore first and were defeated during the landing. The few survivors, including Highlord Tirion Fordring, were captured. The Alliance and Horde flying ships carrying Varian Wrynn and Sylvanas Windrunner were shot down with the help of infernals and felbats. As they crashed into the ocean, the faction leaders barely managed to escape and fought against the demons side by side.

The picture had changed slightly by the time Alliance and Horde reinforcements arrived on the Broken Shore. Varian Wrynn and Vol'jin, accompanied by their allies, held back the demons at various points on the island. Alliance reinforcements landed on the southwestern side of the Broken Shore, and the Hordes on the southeastern side. Having fought the demons on the shore and closing the portals, they made their way deep into the island, where they teamed up with groups led by Varian and Vol'jin.

Both factions began searching for Gul'dan and destroying the demons in the Black City. Prisoners from the Argent Vanguard were discovered here, who spoke about the defeat and that Tirion Fordring had been captured by the Legion. The Alliance and Horde began to fight their way further and approached the place from different directions , where Gul "dan used magic to hold Tyrion over the Lake of Fel. Smirking at the threats of the leaders of both factions, Gul'dan allowed the summoned demon Kros to scorch Tirion Fordring with fel flames. The High Lord, who tried to call upon the Light for help, fell screaming into the lake of dark magic, feeling his flesh burn. Although Tirion has since been considered dead, the remnants of the Vanguard soon discovered that he was still alive and attempted to free him.

The Alliance and Horde fought Kross and other demons that emerged from the Fel Lake. Finally, they continued the pursuit of Gul'dan, who by that time had already returned to the Tomb of Sargeras. Sylvanas Windrunner informed Varian Wrynn that, together with the Horde, she would occupy a high ridge above the plateau near the tomb in order to cover the other faction. The alliance with Varian Wrynn at the head went straight on the plateau and appeared before Gul'dan, who summoned a huge number of powerful demons to his aid. The Horde managed to occupy the indicated ridge, and Sylvanas' archers defended the Alliance from attacks from felbats from the sky. But the Horde suddenly discovered that the demons had created a new portal on one side of the ridge and called for reinforcements. Concept art of Tomb of Sargeras

In the midst of the battle, Varian Wrynn decided to call on another Alliance flying ship for reinforcements and instructed Genn Greymane to inform Sylvanas that her archers should cover the ship with their arrows. The Alliance did not see that the Horde was fighting large numbers of demons right on the ridge. Vol'jin was mortally wounded by a poisoned spear, and the other leaders continued the battle with difficulty. Sylvanas Windrunner lifted Vol'jin onto her horse, and he asked her to ensure that the Horde did not perish completely that day. Sylvanas had to make a difficult decision as she listened to Vol'jin and watched the new troops of demons. Finally, she blew her horn and summoned the Val'kyr, who began moving the wounded to safety, and then gave the order to retreat.

The ridge left by the Horde was instantly occupied by demons, and Varian Wrynn, not knowing what happened above, believed that the Horde had abandoned them to the battlefield. Without support, the Alliance no longer stood a chance in battle against the Legion, and Varian ordered the troops to retreat via the flying ship. Although King Rynn managed to cling to the rope ladder, he saw how Gul'dan with a grin summoned a huge felbot from the sky, which grabbed the ship with his hand and forced many Alliance soldiers to fall down. Varian realized that without destroying the felbot his faction would be destroyed, and decided sacrifice himself to save her.Rising quickly, he handed Genn Greymane the letter he had prepared for Anduin, and then jumped down.

With his blade Shalamane, Varian pierced the felbot's head and ensured that the Alliance ship was freed from capture. The king fell down and found himself face to face with Gul"dan, protected by demons. Varian, dividing Shalamane into two swords, tried to make his way to the warlock and destroy him. He defeated several demons before his chest was pierced twice with blades. A gloating Gul"dan approached to the dying Varian and declared that he would be remembered as the king who gave his life in vain. Rinn defiantly looked directly into Gul'dan's eyes and uttered his last words: “For the Alliance!” The Warlock filled Varian’s body with a huge amount of Fel, which forced him to die in agony and caused a magical flash seen from the departing ships by both Genn Greymane and Sylvanas Windrunner.

After the first battle, the heroes of Azeroth returned to the Broken Shore more than once to try to save someone or obtain artifacts necessary to defeat the Burning Legion. For example, the paladin who would later become the head of the Knights of the Silver Hand traveled here to find Tirion Fordring, who had been captured by demons and lost his Ashbringer. The famous sword was found and used in the battle with Balnazzar, although the Natrezim managed to escape. But Tyrion suffered too much and soon died, before his death declaring the hero who saved him as the new owner of the Ashbringer.

The history of the Valarjars is connected with the coast, whose future leader went here along with famous warriors from his faction, who were Varok Saurfang and Danath Trollbane. Here the hero met a detachment of vrykul fighting demons, and almost died in battle. But the Val'kyra, sent by Odin, did not let him die and took him to the Halls of Valor.

The demon hunter soon found himself on the Broken Shore, leading the awakened Illidari during Illidan's absence. The hero had to fight a traitor named Kariya Felsoul in order to take possession of the Aldrachi Warblades. Vereesa Windrunner, who wanted to find her missing sister Alleria, began her search from the Broken Shore, from where a portal could be used to get to Niskara, a Legion world where Alleria was rumored to have been captured. Although she was unable to find her sister, her bow, Tas'dora, was delivered from Niskara. The Knights of the Ebon Blade also headed to this world to take possession of the Cursed Devourer - a huge ax that was in the hands of one of the local demons named Gorelix.

Gul "dan, together with the Council of Shadows, attempted to open even more portals for the Legion using a ritual in which the Scepter of Sargeras, the Book of Medivh and the Eye of Dalaran were used. Many demons and servants of the Legion gathered right at the entrance to the Tomb, protecting the process of the ritual. But a warlock from the Grim Harvest Council was able to pretend to be an ally, infiltrate the ranks of the Shadow Council and disrupt the ritual when Gul'dan allowed him to use the Scepter, since he himself supported the creation of portals by Argus. With the help of the Scepter, the hero destroyed many demons and members of the Shadow Council before escaping from the Broken Shore.

Legion has finally received a new patch 7.2, and players from all over the world have a long-awaited opportunity to get even with the Burning Legion for their past defeat. Now demons will not be able to hide from hundreds and thousands of people who want to farm the new currency - Void Shards, as well as those who just want to complete quests or get to new dungeons. This guide will help you understand all the new features related to setting up a base on the Broken Shore, as well as completing local quests and farming new currency.

How to get to the Broken Shore, where to start?

First of all, you will need a character of maximum level 110. Having entered the game with such a character after the release of patch 7.2, you will soon receive a message from Khadgar and with it a quest sending you to the Broken Shore. The quest is not difficult - you just need to complete the scenario by recapturing a piece of the Broken Shore from the Legion to build a base. After the base is built, all new local quests, hunting for mini-bosses, as well as events with farming Void Shards, which are necessary for purchasing equipment or toys for the new faction, will open to you.

At your base on the Broken Shore, you will also receive several simple one-time tasks, with which you will open new flight points in a new location and receive some Void Shards or supplies for constructing buildings at the base.

Among others, there will be a quest " Broken Shore: Exploration", the essence of which boils down to knocking out the item Mysterious rune-covered scroll. This scroll can fall from any inhabitant of the Broken Shore.

Hunting for rare mobs

From time to time on the map you will notice icons in the form of green skulls - these are rare mobs that carry with them exactly what you need - resources, currency, and sometimes even random equipment. You are unlikely to be able to cope with one such mini-boss alone, so it makes sense to take several friends on the hunt or just wait for other players to show up. Sometimes entire groups of players are hunting for mini-bosses - you can also simply follow them and help in battle.

Rare mobs are also required to complete the “Breaking the Tomb” achievement, and one of them, Lord Hel’Nurath, even carries around one of the color options for the Warlock class mount (you can read more in our guide on class mounts).

Also, after the Void Destroyer is built at the base, new world bosses will become available, which may well drop a level 890+ piece of equipment.

World quests on the Broken Shore

The essence of world quests has not changed from the fact that they are now available on the Broken Shore - you also receive certain useful items and reputation with the local faction for completing them. In addition to the usual stronghold resources, artifact power, gold and random pieces of equipment, Void Shards and Legionfall Army Supplies have also been added, which will only be useful on the Broken Shore. There's also something in store for experienced pet tamers - there are three new enemies with powerful pets on the Broken Shore.

All available local quests are displayed on the location map and now this is the only means of leveling up reputation with a new faction, except for some one-time quests.

Farming Void Shards

As soon as you visit two new merchants at your base on the Broken Shore, you immediately realize that the first thing you need is Void Shards. The fact is that new toys and a whole bunch of various items of equipment, including epic and legendary quality, are sold for this currency. Rare blue gear can be purchased for as little as 400 Void Shards, but you can usually only count on an item with random level 860 stats. If you want to get something really powerful, you will have to shell out 5000 Void Shards at once, but there is a chance that such an item will become legendary. However, you yourself can make epic equipment legendary, although it already costs 8000 Shards. The answer to the reasonable question “where to get such a mountain of Shards?” is a pharmaceutical

So, Shards are farmed only from ordinary demons, who come out of low-level portals in whole herds. At this stage, a difficulty may arise in front of you in the form of other players of the opposite faction, from whose blows the demons cease to bring you any benefit. To avoid such situations, you can simply choose a couple of portals, with no one near them, and also gather a group to farm Shards and independently take away mobs from representatives of the enemy faction. The greatest benefits when farming can come from classes with powerful AoE - warlocks, warriors, monks, etc., as well as tanks, which must carry everything that appears from the portals.

After you farm Shards at each Cerberax spawn point, you will receive the achievement “Looming Lights”.

If you do not have the time and desire to farm Void Shards, you can delegate this work to us. You can order Nether Shards farming on this page.

Buffs of the Broken Shore

There are various items scattered throughout the Broken Shore that can help you farm Shards and complete world quests, the main thing is to know what exactly to look for.

First, you can find elven sanctuaries - if you use a glowing orb in one of them, you will receive a buff for 1 hour that can increase damage dealt, reduce damage received, and also increase all basic or additional characteristics.

Secondly, corrupted flowers and books can also buff your abilities, but they increase damage taken or reduce your maximum health for the duration - consider whether such buffs are necessary.

Thirdly, if you come across a green core lying alone on the ground, then grab it without hesitation - with its help you can inflict huge damage to any enemy in a small area, but only once, after which you will need to find a new core.

Also, don’t forget to rummage around the caches scattered throughout the location - in them you can find gray items with a good value in gold, stronghold resources, Void Shards or Legionfall Army supplies.

Farm reputation with Legionbane Army

Reputation with the new faction is pumped up just as slowly as reputation with the Nightborne, but this must be done if you want to be able to fly around the Broken Isles and the opportunity to buy new toys.

Leveling up your reputation is very simple - with the help of local quests on the Broken Shore, but there are some other ways to do this. The first way is to complete one-time quests that are related to the main plot of the location, and which open gradually until the opening of a new raid - the Tomb of Sargeras. The second method is related to your class stronghold, but it depends solely on random chance - among the quests for companions in the stronghold, quests with a reward in the form of reputation may appear, and sometimes this is reputation with a new faction.

Try to visit the Broken Shore regularly to quickly discover flights to the Broken Isles.

Setting up a base on the Broken Shore

As soon as you appear at your base on the Broken Shore, you will be able to invest supplies from the Legion's Ruin Army into the construction of one of the special buildings - the Mage Tower, the Command Headquarters, or the Void Destroyer. Each building will allow you to advance in the Broken Shore story and get closer to flying in the Broken Isles.

Deciding which building will be built first is offered to all players in your game world, so if everyone decides to invest supplies in the Mage Tower, it will be the first. You can get supplies through world quests or from caches - you will need 100 units. in order to invest in construction. In addition to progressing one of the buildings, you will receive a chest with a random piece of equipment and reputation with the local faction, so saving up supplies is useful.

Once the building is built, you will receive significant bonuses, which will be discussed below, however, the demons will try to destroy the building. If the building is destroyed, you will have to repair it, which also requires an infusion of supplies, but the bonuses are worth it.

1) Tower of Mages

The Mage Tower is a useful thing. She can provide you with portals to all locations of the Broken Isles, as well as to Dalaran. The Mage Tower will also allow you to complete solo challenges, which reward you with new appearances for artifact weapons. And as a small bonus, you will be able to find more caches of resources throughout the Broken Shore.

If the tower is already built, then talk to Commander Chambers nearby to receive one of the buffs that lasts for the allotted time or until the tower is destroyed by demons:

1. Aware – You gain more artifact power in Broken Isles raids and dungeons.

2. Overwhelming Power – You receive more artifact power for completing world quests.

3. Worthy of Respect - You gain 30% more reputation with Legion's Ruin every time it is awarded.

4. Like a feather - you get the ability to ride on water if you are on a mount.

2) Command headquarters

The command headquarters is also a good help for heroes, providing the Order Strength bonus. This bonus will open up additional world quests for you in dungeons on the Broken Shore, and when fighting outside dungeons on the Broken Shore, ordinary NPC representatives of your class will help you. The class stronghold will also open additional tasks for teammates with good rewards.

Just as in the case of the Mage Tower, after building the Command Headquarters, you can choose one of the additional buffs:

1. Military campaign - you receive more supplies from the Legion's Ruin Army, which will allow you to invest them in construction more often.

2. Worthy Defenders – quests for companions in the stronghold can bring you legendary equipment for your companions.

3. Powerful buff – completing world quests on the Broken Shore, you have a certain chance of receiving a buff rune, which will be useful to you in Heroic and Mythic raids.

4. Full readiness - all your characteristics increase by 10% while you are in the territory of the Broken Shore.

3) Void Destroyer

The competition for the other two buildings is the Void Destroyer - a magical focus that, in the plot, copes well with demons, and in gameplay is a source of good bonuses. Firstly, the Destroyer is summoning 4 new world bosses to the Broken Shore, from each of which you can loot level 890+ equipment. Secondly, portals appear on the Broken Shore, from which mini-bosses can appear, carrying a whole lot of resources with them. Thirdly, players who have a leveled up profession that allows them to make equipment will be able to receive an Armorer's Letter of Recommendation, which is necessary for making legendary pieces of equipment.

A rebuilt Netherbreaker will also give you the opportunity to choose from several additional bonuses:

1. Determine your destiny - once a day you can receive an additional Seal of Broken Fate, which is used to obtain additional items in raids. You will receive the seal provided that the building was not destroyed by demons.

2. Fate smiles on you - when you use the Seal in a raid, you can get it back if instead of an item you received the power of artifacts.

3. Netherstorm - Whenever you receive Nether Shards, there is a chance that you will receive additional Shards.

4. Reinforced Reins - allows you to interact with objects and collect resources while riding a mount.

The Mage Tower is necessary for early mastery of the content of patch 7.2, and will also come in handy if you need more artifact power. The command headquarters will greatly simplify your daily visits to the Broken Shore and provide additional reinforcements for your allies. The Void Destroyer is necessary, first of all, to obtain additional and improved equipment, helping to equip your character faster.

This concludes the Broken Shore guide, but it may receive an update in the future. We hope that our guide was useful to you.

Comment from Kvant85

Patch 7.2 brings a lot of new content to the Broken Shore. Now this is not a “stub” for the open world, but a large quest zone.

At the current moment in the development of the plot (patch 7.0.3), the Broken Shore is of interest only to lovers of aesthetic excursions and collectors of one.
The island is overrun with elite demons, many of which have unique names.

You cannot go to the Tomb of Sargeras for tea - a character who comes too close to the Citadel is given the Eye of the Legion debuff, which kills the character. You can remove it by moving a short distance from the place where you received it. However, in some places you can approach the tomb so that the character does not get a debuff, but the game location changes. Then menacing music from the Tomb will sound. You cannot ride mounts in the Tomb area.

The island of the Ruined Temple, located east of the Broken Shore, turned out to be a very interesting place. There are puddles of atypical yellow lava on it, which nevertheless causes damage as lava ordinarium. Blizzard tried to give the island an atmosphere of destruction - there was a temple, now there are gaping holes where you can fall and break. In the center of the island there is a small green rune circle, in which, apparently, a certain boss will soon stand. The dying Tyrion was located in the scenario for receiving the Ashbringer (retribution paladins). There are no NPCs on the island.

There is a flight director on the small northern island. The island is guarded by a group of Illidari. Among them is the merchant Falara Nightsong, from whom you can get repairs. By the way, a stone path not shown on the map leads from the island to the main island.

We have prepared a guide for the Broken Shore location in patch 7.2. We'll tell you what to do in the location, what interesting things there are and what to do in general.

The guide consists of two parts:

  1. Overview of the Broken Shore
  2. Assault on location and quest hub

Video review of Broken Shore 7.2:

Overview of the Broken Shore

This part of the guide tells you what interesting things there are in the location and what you can do there.

Rarniks (rare monsters)

The Broken Shore in Patch 7.2 contains a variety of rare monsters. As soon as a rarnik appears in a location, an icon (skull) will appear on the mini-map indicating its location.

Rares of the Broken Shore drop Class Stronghold Resources, Void Shards and necessary for the construction of buildings in this location.

Killing 5 Rars on the Broken Shore is required for the Take Out the Head... quest, which is part of the Infiltrating the Tomb achievement.

World quests

The Broken Shore will also offer players many new local quests. The rewards for them are the usual:

  • Equipment
  • Artifact Power
  • Order Resources
  • + Legionfall Army supplies (new currency)

All Broken Shore world quests grant reputation with the Armies of Legion's Ruin.

For world quests, the location is home to 3 Legion battle pet tamers.

Cerberax

Ancient Shrines and Plant Buffs

Everywhere in the location you can find ancient sanctuaries of the night elves. You can click on these shrines to receive one of the following effects for 1 hour:

  • Damage increased by 15%
  • Increases the character's basic characteristics by 20%
  • Reduces incoming damage by 25%
  • Increases Haste, Critical Strike and Mastery by 5000

Various plants on the Broken Shore also provide beneficial effects. By clicking on them, you will receive a boost to one of the secondary characteristics, but the character’s maximum health will decrease.

Difficult tasks

In this section, we have collected information about quests and tasks of Legion 7.2, which players often have difficulties with.

1. Demonic games

In order to complete the task Demonic Games, you need to activate three runes:

  • Dregla
  • Talar

And after that, don’t forget to talk to the NPC, otherwise nothing will work.

Video - how to complete the Demonic Games quest:

Broken Shore: Exploration

To complete the Broken Shore: Reconnaissance quest, watch the following video:

Parselmouth Caches

Parselmouth's curious hiding places are treasure containers scattered throughout the shore. They become available when the Mage Tower in the location is completed and fully operational.

Construction of buildings

Players can build buildings at the starting point of the new location. There are three such buildings in total. The completed building begins to bring certain benefits.

From time to time the Legion will attack buildings, causing the health reserve to decrease. If the building loses its entire safety margin, it will have to be rebuilt. When a building is attacked, its benefits do not work throughout the entire location.

These buildings are built by turning in new currency (Legion's Ruin Army Supplies) at a special location in the Broken Shore starting area.

Dress up on the Broken Shore

Patch 7.2 will make it easy to dress in good clothes on the Broken Shore:

  • Dauntless Tokens create a piece of equipment suitable for your specialty (as it was in Draenor). These tokens can be purchased for 400 Nether Shards or dropped from monsters on the Broken Shore.
  • When players complete one of the three buildings, world bosses will begin to appear in the location, from which level 890 items will drop: Si’vash, Apocron, Malificus, Brutallus.

Farming Void Shards

Void Shards are a currency that can be farmed unlimitedly on the Broken Shore. If you're on the hunt for achievements, you'll need at least 2500 shards for the Shard Times achievement, which is part of the Tomb Infiltration meta achievement.

Void Shards can also be used to purchase equipment tokens, transmog items, and materials for crafting legendary items.

New faction and opening of flights

In the Broken Shore location in patch 7.2 you will meet a new faction - the Armies of Legion's Ruin. A reputation level of at least respect with this faction is one of the conditions for opening flights in the Legion.

Reputation is earned mainly through quests. Faction rewards are mostly toys.

Infiltration of Grojunica

Penetration into Grojunitsa - until recently this achievement was necessary to open flights in the Legion, but recently it was removed from these conditions.

Obtaining this achievement will require a long quest on the Broken Shore, completing many world quests and events, recruiting a new champion for the stronghold, and collecting Void Shards.

The achievement is long and difficult, but there are no special rewards for it.

Assault on the Broken Shore. Quest hub.

This part of the guide is devoted to the starting scenarios of the location, as well as a description of how the quest is structured.

Attack on the Broken Shore

When you log into the game in patch 7.2, a task will immediately appear: report to Dalaran and talk to Khadgar to prepare for the attack. Then a scenario will start in which you will be sent to the Broken Shore, where you will need to recapture territory from the Legion.

You will also be given the mysterious quest The Broken Shore: Investigating the Legion, which will complete when you obtain the desired artifact-related item from monsters on the Broken Shore.

Script video:

You will then receive the quest Assault on Broken Shore, which begins the scenario on the Broken Shore. The reward for this quest is a level 855 helmet and an item that allows you to increase the level of equipment from the class stronghold to level 860.

Broken Shore 7.2 as a quest hub

Brief information on the quest hub on the Broken Shore:

  • Completing scenarios gives access to local quests in the location.
  • After completing the scenario, you will find yourself at the base camp (Liberation Point). This camp is themed after your class and features a flying master.
  • At the very beginning you will have 3 available tasks: Legionfall Supplies, Aalgen Point, and Vengeance Point). The last two will lead to other flight points on the Broken Shore.
  • Legion's Ruin Army Supplies currency, required for one of the three initial quests, is given for world quests. You will need several days for this quest, as 100 pieces of currency are required, and world quests only give 10-20 units.
  • Completing quests on the Broken Shore is currently the only way to gain reputation for the Army of the Fall of the Legion, since killing monsters does not give turnips.
