Inexpensive holiday with a child on the Black Sea. The cheapest country for a holiday

Find out where you can cheaply relax at sea in the summer of 2019 abroad and in Russia! We have chosen the most popular destinations for a holiday by the sea and calculated for each cost index. It will help you understand where to vacation is cheap and where it is expensive. Compare indexes, choose a resort and go on vacation on a budget.

How do we calculate the index?

We calculate two holiday cost indices: for vacationers on a tour and for independent tourists.

Tour holiday index. For each destination we find the cheapest tours for two for 10 days. To the cost of the tour per person we add the cost of a visa (if needed). We divide the result by 10. We get the cost of vacation per day per person.

Independent travel index. We sum up the main expenses of a tourist and divide by 10:

  • Flights. We are looking for the cheapest round trip flight from Moscow. Tickets can be without luggage and with transfers.
  • Housing. We find double rooms at the lowest price; we do not consider hostels. Calculation per person for 10 days.
  • Visa (if needed).

What are we not counting? Food, travel, excursions, etc. - these expenses are individual and difficult to calculate. Our index does not reflect all travel expenses, but allows you to compare the cost of a vacation on a basic basis.

Why are tickets and tours only from Moscow considered? Firstly, most tourists fly from the capital on vacation. Secondly, the cheapest tickets and tours are usually from Moscow. If we count the indices for departures from all Russian cities, the review will surpass “War and Peace” in volume.

Is it possible to get it even cheaper? Can! In some cases, your vacation will cost less than according to our estimates. You will save if:

  • find a cheap one or ;
  • you already have and are going to Europe;
  • fly on vacation during the low season.

Prices have been updated for the summer season 2019 and are indicated in Russian rubles. Indices for European countries are duplicated in euros, for Asia - in US dollars.

Exchange rate: 1 US dollar ≈ 65 RUB.

Choose a destination to suit your taste and budget:

Watch our video from a trip to Zanzibar on the YouTube channel:

When compiling this selection, we tried to take these factors into account. But unlike the rating of foreign countries, we will not assign places (the level of prices, conditions and service are approximately the same and differ insignificantly), but simply offer the top 10 Russian seaside resorts for families with children in 2018:

Let's start with the resorts of Crimea.

Most resorts in Crimea are great for families with children. There is very beautiful nature, a clean sea and developed infrastructure for children. For children in Crimea there are numerous water parks, dolphinariums and other entertainment. Adults will be interested in nature, rich history, numerous museums and attractions of Crimea, Crimean wineries, a variety of water activities and sports...
Swimming in Crimea is comfortable already from May, but for swimming children the sea warms up well from June. June-July, as well as the velvet season at the beginning of September, are ideal for relaxing with a child. The beaches in the south of Crimea are predominantly pebble, and sandy beaches can be found in Yevpatoria in the west of Crimea, as well as in Sudak and Feodosia in the east of Crimea.

You can get to Crimea by car via the new Crimean Bridge (trains will soon cross the same bridge), or by bus, or by plane. The main international airport of Crimea is located near Simferopol.

Feodosia has very beautiful nature and stunning landscapes. The infrastructure is well developed, there are many cafes and restaurants.
Feodosia has mostly sandy beaches with a very comfortable gentle entrance to the sea for children. The most famous and beautiful beach of Feodosia is the sand and shell “Golden Beach” - very beautiful, wide and the longest in Crimea (6 km!). The "Children's" beach is very popular and convenient for children. On the beaches of Feodosia there are mini-water parks, children's playgrounds with carousels, swings and slides.
There is a good dolphinarium in Feodosia that will not leave either children or adults indifferent. The Feodosia Dolphinarium hosts entertaining performances and offers the opportunity to swim with dolphins. Also, both the child and his parents will certainly enjoy the Safari Ranch park, where in natural conditions you can observe many animals, including rare ones: ostriches, antelopes, fallow deer, deer...
For adults, Feodosia will be interesting both for its nightclubs and numerous museums and attractions: the Genoese Fortress, Stamboli Dacha, Alexander Tower... Aivazovsky was born and lived here, Feodosia is inextricably linked with Chekhov, Alexander Greene, Tsvetaeva.

Feodosia is located farthest from Simferopol airport than all the resorts in this review (120 km), but it is closest to the Crimean Bridge

Another resort in the southeast of Crimea is Sudak and Novy Svet. Sandy and pebble beaches in Sudak are very suitable for families with children, as is the developed infrastructure. In Sudak, children and their parents will be delighted by the water park of the same name, beautiful nature, mountain landscapes, attractions: the famous Genoese Sudak Fortress, Golitsyn's Grotto in the New World, Cave Monastery, Aeolian Harp Grotto, Sun Valley and the Valley of Ghosts...

From Simferopol airport to Sudak it is a little more than 100 km.

Evpatoria has been considered one of the best children's resorts on the Black Sea for decades. And there are many reasons for this... Evpatoria is located very close to Simferopol airport, which means the transfer with a child will be quick and not tiring. The vast majority of Evpatoria beaches are sandy with a gentle entrance. Evpatoria has a well-developed infrastructure. There is a huge dolphinarium, attractions, children's playgrounds, an Amusement Park, the Banana Republic Water Park, Dinopark, Fairy Tale Alley, Central Park, Arboretum and much more.

From Simferopol airport to Evpatoria is about 60 km.

The beaches in Yalta are pebbly, as on the entire Southern Coast of Crimea (SC), and the terrain is hills and mountains... However, this does not prevent Yalta from being one of the most popular children's destinations. The explanation for this is the excellent climate, beautiful nature, very developed infrastructure, as well as the best and most famous sights of Crimea, symbolizing the entire peninsula. Of the attractions, this is, of course, the Swallow's Nest castle, the Massandra Palace, the Livadia Palace, temples, churches and museums, as well as the cable car to Mount Ai-Petri... Children, in addition to the cable car to Mount Ai-Petri, will enjoy the Yalta Oceanarium, water park "Atlantis", "Glade of Fairy Tales", zoo "Fairy Tale", etc. Yalta has an excellent long embankment! But do not forget that you will have to walk or carry a child in a stroller along ups and downs, and the entrance to the sea is often not flat, but with a rapidly increasing depth...

From Simferopol airport to Yalta is approximately 90 km.

Alushta has pebble beaches, a long embankment and an extended beach strip stretching across the outskirts of Alushta... The infrastructure is well developed. The most popular attractions in Alushta and its outskirts are the Aluston fortress, the Valley of Ghosts, the largest waterfall in Crimea, Jur-Dzhur, Mount Kastel, which offers an excellent view of Alushta... Children will be captivated for a long time by the numerous playgrounds, the excellent large Alushta Aquarium-Terrarium , as well as a water park.

From Simferopol airport to Alushta is about 70 km.

Krasnodar region

The resorts of the Krasnodar Territory are hundreds of kilometers of beaches of the Black and Azov Seas, interesting sights, stunning nature, delicious food, fruits, berries and a lot of entertainment. Most of the beaches in the Krasnodar Territory are pebble, but there are also wonderful sandy beaches, for example, in Anapa with Dzhemete and Vityazevo, partly in Lazarevsky and Gelendzhik... And there are also magnificent wild rocky beaches. The infrastructure is widely developed, although there is room for improvement. The resorts of the Krasnodar Territory have a huge number of Water Parks, Dolphinariums and Amusement Parks. The sea warms up for children from June; it is good to relax here with children and the velvet season is in September.

The main international airports are located in Anapa (Vityazevo) and Sochi (Adler), smaller ones in Krasnodar, and the smallest in Gelendzhik. Bus service has been developed, as well as railway service (both long-distance trains and electric trains).

Anapa is perhaps the most popular children's resort in the Krasnodar region. And no wonder! Anapa International Airport (Vityazevo) and the railway station are in close proximity, which means the child will not be tired of the transfer at all. There are a small number of pebble beaches, for example in Su-Psekh and Sukko. But basically, in Anapa and nearby Dzhemete and Vityazevo there are gorgeous sandy beaches, a comfortable entrance to the sea, developed infrastructure and a lot of entertainment for children: Amusement Park, Water Park "Golden Beach", Water Park "Tiki-Tak", Dinopark "Rex", Children's Amusement Park, Water Park "Olympia", Dolphinarium "Nemo", Utrish Dolphinarium, etc. There are few attractions, especially historical ones, in Anapa... This is correct, otherwise there will be no time for gorgeous beaches, water parks, dolphinariums and other entertainment

There is a railway station. The airport in Vityazevo is only 15 km from Anapa.

Lazarevskoye is the farthest northern corner of Greater Sochi, located exactly in the middle between Sochi and Tuapse. There are wide sand and pebble beaches with a gentle entrance to the sea, a fairly developed infrastructure, there are natural and historical attractions, including “33 waterfalls”... Entertainment for children: Water park “Nautilus”, Water park-dolphinarium “Starfish”, Dolphinarium “ Lazarevsky", Central Park, attractions, Berendeevo Tsarstvo Park...

There is a railway station. From Sochi airport (Adler) to Lazarevsky is about 100 km.

Since the 2014 Olympics, Sochi has matured, become more beautiful and more welcoming to vacationers, although many still do not like it... for prices, pebbles, transport links - everyone has their own reasons... However, Sochi remains one of the most popular family resorts in Russia, all year round - the sea is just a stone's throw away from the ski resorts. There is a developed infrastructure, a huge number of attractions and entertainment for both adults and children... Children will be delighted by the water parks "Aqualoo", "Galaktika", "Amphibius", "Mayak", etc., and the amusement parks "Sochi-Park" , "Galaktika", "Riviera", oceanariums and dolphinariums, arboretum, circus... For adults, Sochi Park and SkyPark will add adrenaline. The beaches of Sochi have medium and large pebbles.

There is a railway station in Sochi. Adler Airport is less than 30 km away.

Adler is Sochi's closest neighbor, so the attractions and entertainment are essentially the same... Plus Adler Park with children's playgrounds and attractions, the Madagascar children's center. Well, it’s even closer to the Olympic infrastructure, Sochi Park, SkyPark and the Krasnaya Polyana ski resort than from Sochi. By the way, the view from the cable cars of Krasnaya Polyana in summer is even more beautiful than in winter And from Adler you can walk to the beaches of Abkhazia!
The beaches in Adler are small and medium pebble, you can find sand and pebble beaches, but there will be very little sand

There is a train station. Airport within the city.

Gelendzhik is one of the oldest and most popular Black Sea resorts with one of the most developed infrastructures. Gelendzhik is located near the very picturesque Gelendzhik Bay of the same name and has a good long embankment. In addition to Gelendzhik itself, Big Gelendzhik includes Divnomorskoye, Blue Bay, Kabardinka, etc. A very long beach strip of tens of kilometers includes completely different beaches: sandy, sand-pebble, pebble, wild rocky... For children, perhaps most of all The beaches of Kabardinka and Blue Bay are suitable - here it is more comfortable to enter the water, there are fewer people and the sea is cleaner than in Gelendzhik itself. From entertainment for children - "Safari Park", Gelendzhik Dolphinarium, "Dinopark" in Kabardinka, water parks "Golden Bay", "Behemoth" and "Dolphin" ... "Golden Bay" is one of the best water parks on the Black Sea coast and not only ... From June to September, the Gelendzhik Carnival, Carnival on the Water, City Day celebrations, the International Hydroaviation Show and other large-scale events take place here.

Summer is approaching - the best time to relax with children. Many parents plan where and how to spend their holidays. After all, you really want your child to not only improve his health in the summer, but also get a lot of memorable impressions.

Perhaps a trip to the sea is the most popular type of holiday with a child. It is not without reason that it is believed that salty sea water, hot sand and gentle sun can harden little vacationers and strengthen their health for the whole next year. When trying to choose a vacation spot, they usually give preference to resorts where parents will be comfortable and children will not be bored. Let's take a closer look at where it is better to relax with a child at sea.

Vacation on the Azov Sea

You can relax on the Sea of Azov with a child from early spring to late autumn. The water of this sea contains a small amount of salt, and along the entire coastline it has a shallow depth. These factors cause the water to heat up quickly. You can swim in the Sea of Azov already at the end of April. At this time, the water temperature reaches twenty degrees, and in the summer, at the height of the season, thirty-two.

Holidays on the Sea of Azov come first for families coming with small children. Everyone loves the safe depth and warm water.

There are sanatoriums and boarding houses on the coast where you can stay. If necessary, in case of illness or injury, there is always the opportunity to seek help from the best specialist.

There is another reason why holidays with children are considered therapeutic. This region is famous for its salt lakes. By taking mud baths you can get rid of diseases of the skin, joints and spine. Healing mud and blue clay enhances metabolism in the human body and accelerates blood flow in blood vessels.

The number of summer vacationers on the Sea of Azov is increasing every year. The network of family sanatoriums and boarding houses is expanding here, hotel rooms are being updated, and new amusement parks are being built. In terms of quality and service provided, the resorts of the Azov Sea are becoming better and more similar to the famous resorts of Bulgaria.

You can get to resort towns located on the Azov Sea, for example, Yeisk or Temryuk, from any corner of the country without any problems. Local residents, who understand the value of the tourism business for their region, are very hospitable and welcoming.

Black Sea

The Black Sea coast has long attracted Russian tourists. The most popular resort towns among vacationers are Tuapse, Loo, Kabardinka, Gelendzhik, Sochi, and Anapa. Each of them has its own charms and disadvantages.

According to statistics, in the summer people most often vacation in Anapa with a child. This year-round resort is famous not only for its cozy beaches and gentle warm sea, but also for its developed infrastructure. Anapa has all possible conditions for a family holiday. Equipped squares, parks, playgrounds, modern attractions and entertainment centers attract a large number of vacationers from Russia and other countries to this resort town.

In the summer season, prices for holidays with children in Anapa remain quite reasonable, thanks to which many vacationers will be able to spend an unforgettable vacation at the resorts of the Black Sea coast. Here you can easily choose the best hotel, which will create all the conditions for the recreation of little tourists, from a special children's menu to the services of experienced teachers. The beach offers various sports games and water attractions.

Anapa water parks are extremely popular, where you can have a wonderful time with the whole family.

Thus, the advantages of this resort include:

  • shallow warm sea with a flat bottom;
  • sandy beaches;
  • developed infrastructure for children's entertainment;
  • convenient transport links with other cities (Anapa has an airport and a railway station);
  • reasonable housing prices.

Sochi is a great place for a family holiday

But it should also be said about some of the shortcomings of this resort town. From mid-summer, the water in the sea begins to bloom and becomes cloudy.

Children's health resort - Crimea

Any resort in Crimea is worthy of attention and admiration. The sandy beaches of Evpatoria and Yalta, Feodosia and Gurzuf have been attracting vacationers with children in the summer for decades. The ideal subtropical climate, recommended by doctors for health improvement, contributes to the location of many children's sanatoriums and camps on the Crimean coast. The resort city of Evpatoria especially stands out among them.

Evpatoria is the best children's resort in Crimea

If the child has not yet reached the age of three, before the trip you should consult a doctor about the place and time of rest. A few days after moving to a new place usually take the body to adapt to the climate change, so the best option would be to take three weeks to rest.

Although you can relax in Crimea anywhere, the most favorite places for families with children are Evpatoria and Feodosia. The water warms up better here, the beaches are sandy, there is a lot of sun and an excellent entertainment infrastructure.

Quiet villages such as Nikolaevka, Kurortnoye, Beregovoe are less popular. There is almost no entertainment here, but there are low prices and spacious beaches. You can find holiday accommodation in Crimea at hochu-na-yuga.ru/krym/.

On the southern coast of Crimea, the beaches are pebble, the sea is deep and getting to the beach is quite problematic due to the high shore. But both in Yalta and Alushta there are many vacationers with children, since there is something to have fun in the evening, where to go, what to see.

Holidays in Bulgaria

In an effort to relax in the summer with children at sea, tourists book trips to Bulgaria, which is in second place after Crimea in the list of inexpensive resorts. The climate of Bulgaria is optimal for strengthening the immune system and improving the health of the child.

People with problems of the respiratory system, nervous and endocrine systems come here, and return from vacation rested and healthier.

The most popular resorts in Bulgaria and the most visited by tourists with children are Sunny Beach, Albena, Golden Sands. The seashore here is flat, clean, well-groomed beaches strewn with fine sand are safe. There are always a lot of different entertainments and attractions for children on the beaches.

To prevent little tourists from getting bored, animators work with them. And for older children, you can choose an interesting excursion, or take part in a themed sea cruise “Pirate Party”, organized on a real yacht.

Summer holidays in Bulgaria are the most inexpensive and comfortable in terms of climatic conditions. If it is not possible to rent a hotel room, it is better to book an apartment with a kitchen. Then preparing a familiar meal for a small child will not be difficult, since the products in Bulgaria are of high quality and inexpensive.

Holidays in Spain

In Spain, Russians fell in love with Catalonia and the island of Mallorca. The spacious and clean sandy beaches of the Costa Dorada and Costa Brava will not leave anyone indifferent. The sea sand in these places, due to the tiny particles of mica it contains, literally sparkles in the sun, creating a feeling of joy and complete happiness. It’s nice to sit at the water’s edge, watching the steady rush of the waves, or kick a ball along the shore, take part in a relay race with your peers, or play beach volleyball. You certainly won't be bored here. And parents will not need to fear for their children, since the depth begins only thirty meters from the shore.

In this country, all beaches are city beaches and all tourists without exception have the right to use them, even if the beach is fenced off by the administration of a nearby hotel.

In European countries, tourism organizers have a very responsible attitude towards vacationers with children, so everything has been done here to provide tourists with children with a comfortable and complete vacation in the summer.

When you come to Spain in the summer, you should definitely visit the Port Aventura park, which will not leave either an adult or a child indifferent. It is located near the town of Salou. Here you can enjoy the best rides, have a bite to eat in cafes and restaurants, and have a photo shoot. School-age children will enjoy the numerous roller coasters, while younger visitors will best remember Sesame Land with its carousels, swings and mini-pools.

Trip to Greece

Another country where you can go on vacation in the summer with children is, of course, Greece. Low humidity and lush greenery help withstand the hot summer. And the beaches and sea in Greece are so clean that they seem simply sterile. Most often, tourists going on holiday to this country choose the islands of Crete, Rhodes and Kos. The sandy and pebbly coastline is equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers. Playgrounds, water slides and various attractions await their little guests.

Greece is a country with a long history. There are many attractions and ancient monuments here, a visit to which will diversify your holiday and be useful for broadening your child’s horizons.

Greece is an ideal place for a family holiday

This is not the entire list of places where you can relax with children and swim in the sea. Experienced tourists probably have their own favorite routes. The choice of holiday destination usually depends on the financial capabilities of the parents and the child’s ability to tolerate long-distance travel and changes in climatic conditions.

One of the most popular resorts in Cyprus, famous for its large and clean beach area, as well as an abundance of entertainment for all vacationers. For children, many water parks, amusement parks, fascinating, educational modern museums and farms with animals have been built here. Parents were prepared with excellent restaurants, water sports areas, various extreme entertainment and, of course, acquaintance with many ancient places. And believe me, Ayia Napa, as one of the oldest cities, is very rich in them. Cathedrals, temples, sculptures, monuments, fountains... and all this against the backdrop of the cleanest, most beautiful sea.

Local sweets (sundzukos, kiofterka, daktila, loukoumades) cost on average from €1 to €4 (a piece).

2. Rimini, Italy

Rimini is one of the excellent options for a summer family holiday in Europe. Here you will find 15 km of well-equipped beaches on the Adriatic coast, and many different parks, water parks and playgrounds for children, as well as hundreds of restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs where parents can relax. There are also many attractions and museums, so you will definitely never be bored. One of the advantages of Rimini is its relative accessibility, since prices here for accommodation/food/entertainment are somewhat lower than in other resorts in the country.

Therefore, for most parents, the best option is a trip to the Black Sea with their children.

Many holidaymakers flock to the Black Sea coast every summer. Here all the advantages of a holiday on the Black Sea with children are most fully revealed.

Features of the Black Sea coast

A worthy alternative to traveling abroad would be a family vacation on the Black Sea coast. There are many positive aspects here that make you give preference to these places. All vacation spots are located in Russia. All laws and rules of behavior are very well known. Compulsory health insurance guarantees free medical care. A significant advantage is communication in your native language. The water temperature in summer is the same as on the seas in other countries.

Currently, big changes are taking place in the cities of the Black Sea coast aimed at improving service, range and quality of services. A flexible pricing policy allows you to choose a place to stay in a city or town, depending on your financial capabilities. In any case, you can completely ensure the required level of comfort.

All resort settlements are located on the shores of the Black Sea. As a result, constant exposure to sea and air baths stabilizes the nervous system of parents, strengthens the immune system and the overall health of the baby. After such a rest, the child, as a rule, is not afraid of colds and infections throughout the coming winter.

How to behave correctly at sea

Holidays on the Black Sea coast have its own characteristics. To make it as complete as possible, you need to follow certain rules of behavior:

  • During the period of greatest solar activity, from approximately 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., it is recommended to stay at home and rest. If vacationers are on the beach at this time, it is necessary to protect themselves from the sun with the help of an awning. Direct sunlight should be avoided as much as possible.
  • When going outside, a child’s head should always be covered with a Panama hat, even in the morning, when the heat has not yet set in.
  • To avoid sunburn, you must use waterproof sunscreen.
  • Children should always be supervised by their parents, especially when swimming. Before entering the sea, the child must be wiped with water, since sudden changes in temperature can cause discomfort, even convulsions.
  • It is imperative to control the duration of bathing to avoid hypothermia.
  • You can teach your child to swim from the age of two. The sea should be calm, the bottom level, and the water warm. First you need to use inflatable armbands or a circle. Training is carried out gradually, without any violence. Otherwise, the child will be afraid of water for a very long time.
