“For the convenience of citizens and guests of our city, on the night of December 31 to January 1, the Moscow Metro and the Moscow Central Circle will operate around the clock, and on Christmas night - until 2:00. We also decided that from 2019 to 2021 on City Day and on New Year both the metro and the MCC will operate around the clock," Sobyanin wrote on Twitter.

The work of urban transport will be provided by more than 92,000 employees of the Moscow transport complex - services of the Department of Transport, the Moscow Metro, GKU "Center for Organization traffic”, GKU “Administrator of the Moscow parking space”. On holidays at all transport facilities - in the metro, at the MCC, stops, land transport and on trains, security measures will be strengthened. All rolling stock will be inspected before entering the line. In addition, they will strengthen the screening of luggage and passengers, platforms, stops, lobbies, and under-street crossings. Also, the frequency of checks in relation to left things and suspicious objects in the interiors of buses, trolleybuses and trams will be increased.
All city public transport of the capital will work all New Year's Eve. This was reported in the press service of the mayor and the government of Moscow following the meeting of the presidium of the city government.
From December 31 to January 1, the metro, MCC, as well as all night and most popular routes of surface urban transport will operate in Moscow. In total, 172 routes will be launched on the line, including 60 routes around the clock, 99 routes until 03:30, 13 night routes. Metro and MCC trains will run at intervals of 3.5 to 15 minutes. The bus interval will be 25-30 minutes.
On Christmas Eve - from January 6 to 7 - the operation of the metro and the MCC will be extended until 2:00 am, and surface urban passenger transport - until 3:00 am plus 13 night routes.
In addition, commuter trains will be extended on New Year's and Christmas nights to 2:00.
