Splav company tour and presentation of the book "Among the Elements" by Alexander Berman. Splav Tourslet and presentation of the book "Among the Elements" by Alexander Berman Tourslet of Splav Company

The annual grand event organized by the Trade Union Organization "Uralvagonzavod" by the chairman, which is Lutokhin E.V., and also with the support of Sverdlovsk Regional Committee of the Trade Union of Defense Industry Workers. The presence of the chairman of "OBORONPROF" Krasnorutskov V.V. made this event even more significant. The rally was attended by 53 teams from all over Sverdlovsk region, including two teams from the trade union organization VTMZ.

Solemn part - opening of the rally, greeting of all teams, raising the flag and ... Start! At the start, the team captain is given a “valuable cargo” (this time it was a water balloon), with which it is necessary to go through all the stages without letting go of it, and bring it to the finish line in one piece. The captains of our teams were Sergey Sokolov and Maxim Golikov, who were very responsible for the safety of the cargo throughout the entire 2.5 km route.

The first step is setting up the tent. Both our first team and the second team got the tent in a deplorable state. Therefore, a lot of extra time was spent on collecting it.

The second stage: a crossing along a long and thin log, thrown from coast to coast. After watching the members of other teams fall from it, it was somehow scary. I didn't want to swim. But our pioneers Timur Khismatullin and Maxim Novoseltsev, having shown miracles of balance, overcame this obstacle in a matter of seconds, pulling a safety rope for the girls Olga Ankudinova and Olga Kostareva.

Then there was an incomprehensible structure called "Rhombus". Two triangles fastened together with cables and suspended between trees. It is necessary to move the cables from one side to the other in any way, while holding on and not falling. And here we have Timur again and his excellent tenacity of arms and legs. He was turned over on the structure, but Timur, turning back, nevertheless got to the opposite side. The next participants Nastya Bessonova, Maxim Novoseltsev and Aigul Rizvanova chose a different way to ensure balance without “shifters”.

The next stage is “Rendering first aid, carrying the victim”: the judge himself chooses the victim from the members of the team. The VTMZ-1 team can be said to be lucky, the judge chose Rushan Zaripova. “The victim has a fractured ankle and is unconscious.” They provided first aid and the guys transported her to the next stage on their hands. But for the VTMZ-2 team, the judge chose Maxim Golikov as the victim (and again a “fractured ankle”). The girls immediately became interested in Maxim's weight and estimated their strength. Will we deliver it? But the judge said that the victim, conscious and with support, can move on his own. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Stage: "Boiling water". The first team passed the stage with difficulty. The fire did not want to burn (the firewood was damp after a night rain) and it took about 15 minutes to boil 250 ml of water in a pot. For the second team, everything went like clockwork (probably the firewood had dried up) and the fire was lit, and the water in the pot quickly boiled. At this stage, VTMZ-2 even overtook one team.

The sixth stage was the Lianas. All team members had to walk along a stretched cable, holding on to hanging ropes, facing forward from one end to the other. The captains had the hardest time, they had a “valuable cargo” in one hand, and they could only hold onto the “vines” with one hand, quickly intercepting the next “vine”.

Next is the “Butterfly” stage: ropes stretched crosswise, and you need to go along them from one edge to the other. The turning point is the middle, here you had to almost sit on the splits, like Anya Fedorov, to get through it. His arms and legs are shaking and he looks like he's going to tumble. But we got the job done! It seemed that this stage was the most difficult, but it was not so, the most difficult was waiting for us ahead at the tenth stage.

The eighth stage "Mountain" is a long steep descent on a rope, to the ninth stage, and then uphill on another rope.

The ninth stage "Water". It was necessary to swim on a catamaran (twin kayaks on a metal frame). Water competition. Dangerous. Therefore, all participants were given life jackets and ... forward to the opposite shore for a control load. The most important thing is to simultaneously work with oars and then the movement towards the goal will be faster. But we learned this only on the way back. Splashed with water from the oars, Nastya Valieva (she was on the catamaran in the second row), with wet feetcontinued the race with the whole team. The same is true for VTMZ-2. Both Maxims were splashed. But we keep running.

And ahead of the last tenth stage of the "Trolls". Stretched cable across the lake. At this stage, you need to put on the equipment, fasten yourself with a safety cable carabiner, throw your legs on the tight cable, then pull yourself up and hook the cargo carabiner. Move along the cable to the opposite shore, with your back down, with the help of arms and legs. And then there is no strength, all the forces remained on the oars. But all the participants of both teams passed this stage.

Elena Lyashenko: It was very difficult for the girls at this stage, since the guys still have more strength. It's good if there is a member who will help you. I was the last one in our team, so I had to do everything myself. How much work it cost me not to tell.

Finishing race on a slippery road and that's it. The route has been passed. The valuable cargo was delivered safe and sound.

Simultaneously with the passage of the stages by the team, one participant from the team participated in the orienteering race. A map was issued with ten marks on the ground. For a certain time (1 hour) they had to be found and marked in the issued map. Irina Gracheva participated from VTMZ-1, for her this race was about speed and attentiveness. The result is almost all the checkpoints found. From VTMZ-2 - Nastya Petukhova, conscientiously searched for all ten marks for almost 1.5 hours, for which she was awarded the certificate "For the will to win!" for rafting on the river. Chusovaya for 3 days, for two.

This is our first participation in such an event, and we did not know what awaits us there. But we went through all the stages, we did not refuse a single one. Did well! Although there were only two guys in our teams, the rest were girls, out of 53 teams we have 11th and 13th place! We are great!

Nastya Bessonova: “I am a young mother, so I spend all my free time with my daughter. Haven't been out for a long time. Grandmother agreed to sit with her granddaughter, so I went on a tour rally. With the support of the team, I coped with all stages.

Anya Fedorov: “For a long time I wanted to go somewhere in nature. And here is such a case. I immediately agreed to go and did not regret it. A sea of positive emotions, adrenaline. Only at home, the children and the husband were upset that they could not go all together.

Nastya Valieva: "I'm all for leisure. What is sitting at home when there is an opportunity to participate and get to know people better. I am very pleased with my participation in the team and the opportunity to test my strength.

Together we set up a tent and a tent, laid tables, cut salads, cooked soup, baked potatoes and fried shish kebabs. They drank hot tea from a samovar. The weather did not let us down either, only slightly wetting the members of the VTMZ-2 team during the water stage. Friendly atmosphere, participation, communication and many positive impressions. In a word, our day off was a success!

I would like to thank Gen. Director of JSC VTMZ Nikitin V.A. for the provided vehicles for the trip of the participants to the tourist rally, to the driver V.A. Plotnikov, as well as to our teams that took an active part in this event and to my husband V.E. Lyashenko. who supported me, agreed to this trip and took an active part in it.

From the annotation to "Among the Elements":

The books of the Master of Sports of the USSR, Honored Traveler of Russia Alexander Berman have long become tourist classics. Each of them is new and interesting. This is the first description in Russian literature of the technology of building an igloo based on the physical and mechanical properties of snow, and the application of the theory of heat and mass transfer in the design of sleeping bags and clothing for winter hikes, and the introduction of the concept of "cold" fatigue that has taken root in the world literature (Traveling on skis. M. , 1968). This is an attempt to show that voluntary risk is not a whim, but a vital necessity (The Edge of Risk. M., 1973), this is also a conversation about the physics of a fire, mountains and the atmosphere against the backdrop of children's hiking adventures (Young Tourist. M., 1977).

The reader is offered a reprint of A. Berman's book "Among the Elements" (M., 1983), which, like his other books, turned out to be "long-playing": more than one generation was fascinated by it with sports travel.

This edition (the author is true to himself!) is supplemented with a new one: stories about jumping over bureaucratic canons - also an element - and about tightrope walking. The author, a tightrope walker himself, outlines a new direction in human research using examples of learning to balance - the psychomechanics of balance - a "bridge" between the living and non-living worlds. The author talks about the perception of events in the personally felt time of a tightrope walker and how these events are perceived from the outside.

At the end of the book, the author shares his ideas about the "convex form of life" - offers his solution to the Selye problem - one of the central tasks of psychophysiology, connects it with the well-known to each of us accelerations and decelerations of the sense of time.

The book will be of interest to travelers, psychologists, teachers and all cheerful people.

The book also contains stories about extreme ski trips, rafting trips, tragic situations from the point of view of their direct participants, stories about Krasnoyarsk stolbists, about "escape" from the USSR on a yacht ( real story from the life of Alexander Berman, which inspired Vladimir Kunin to write the book "Ivanov and Rabinovich or Ai go to Haifa"), the stories of Joseph Kahiani and much more. Read in one breath!
