Montenegro coast map. Map of Montenegro with resorts in Russian

In this post you will find several maps of Montenegro, they show the main attractions, beach resorts, historic cities etc.

Also available detailed maps the most popular resorts (Budva, Kotor). If you need information on a city / resort that is not in the post, leave your question in the comments and I will definitely answer it.

I could not find a detailed Montenegrin map in Russian, so I decided to write a long post about all kinds of maps of this Balkan country. Maps for this post were collected from various locations (commercial travel shops, government tourism offices, internet sites, etc.).

If you have a good Russified map of Montenegro, send it to me, and it will be posted in this post right there.

For your comfortable acquaintance with the maps, I will try to "russify" them with my comments and notes.

Montenegro is one of the countries of the former Yugoslavia, it is for this reason that not every tourist can immediately find it on the map. In addition, the country is small even by European standards, the territory of Montenegro is only 13 812 km2.

Pay attention to this card. It shows that many beloved Greece will be a little further south, and all-inclusive Turkey even further south. Comparing Montenegro with Turkey (especially for beach holiday), then it should be borne in mind that the sea in Turkey is warmer, and the season is a little longer.

There is nothing to fly from Russia to Montenegro (about 3 hours), about which airport to choose, read the link.

Which countries does Montenegro border with

There are very interesting countries in the neighborhood (see map), some of which were formerly part of Yugoslavia.

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina (tour overview) - visa-free visits for Russians, you can visit as part of an excursion;
  • Serbia is a very interesting country, I recommend visiting it on your own;
  • Albania (tour overview) - in summer a visa is not required for Russians, you can visit it as part of an excursion;
  • Croatia is an EU country, there is an excursion, but you need to have a Schengen visa;
  • Italy - there is a ferry from the Montenegrin city of Bar to the Italian city of Bari, Schengen country.

Tourist map of Budva, resort map with residential areas

Budva is the main tourist resort of Montenegro, the city is perfectly adapted for mass tourism, so let's start with the Budva map.

In this tourist map you can see how the “Jadran Route” highway passes through the city - along this highway you can drive the whole country along the coast, from Croatia to Albania.

The track conventionally divides the city into two parts. If you are looking for accommodation in Budva (follow the link for a detailed post about rental housing in this resort), then down to the sea - expensive hotels (Alexander Hotel, Slavyanskiy Beach Hotel, etc.), up to the mountains - cheaper apartments (there are quite a few proposals for renting private apartments and rooms with daily payment).

Be sure to read my general post about renting Montenegrin resort real estate, about its types and features of renting.

Residential areas of Budva on the tourist map

  1. Subcough- on the map, this is the extreme right side of the city (on the opposite side from the Old City), in this area it is always quiet and calm;
  2. Rosine- in the very center of the map, there are: the Budva bus station, the main market, large supermarkets and other infrastructure important for tourists, as well as a flat road to the sea (I lived in this area);
  3. Gosposhtina- a stone's throw from the Old Town, near the beaches of Mogren, this area is always noisy;
  4. Lazi- a very hilly area (located above the Podkoshlyun area), it is high here, in the heat it is quite difficult to walk;
  5. Podmine- within walking distance from the Podmaine monastery, this area is not very popular with tourists, too far from the sea;
  6. Dubovitsa- the area is located near the bus station and the city center, there is an excellent infrastructure and a flat road to the sea;
  7. Bizheli- if you settle in this area, the Top Hill disco will be well heard, through the area there is Toplishki Put street, which leads to the disco;
  8. Vidikovac- the area is located next to the Mogren beach, and has the most beautiful view to the Old City, but it takes a very long time to go uphill.

Tourist maps of Kotor

Good transport accessibility opens up great prospects for this resort. The city has an international airport, the Porto Montenegro yacht club, a bus station, and a highway.

Becici on the map

In the neighborhood of noisy Budva (literally 15 minutes walk), there is a quiet resort village Becici. The small town is located on a hillside that descends to one of the best beaches in Montenegro. There are not many attractions in Becici, but they are interesting.

Rest at this resort is suitable for those who love peace and quiet. It is especially good in Becici for tourists with small children, as the local beach is magnificent and the entrance to the water is smooth and smooth.

Petrovac on the map

Resort town Petrovac is located 20 kilometers from the noisy and overpopulated Budva; tourists come to this resort for family vacations.

See Budva on the map

Budva is located in the very center of the Montenegrin coast. If you are staying at this resort, then this will allow you to go around the whole country on public buses (follow the link. Detailed instructions for using Montenegrin buses), while every day you can return to your hotel.

If you rent a car instead of a bus (follow the link, my experience and details of car rental), then yours (follow the link, a detailed car route for the entire vacation).

Budva is the most tourist resort in the country, which implies both pluses (good service, a large selection of accommodation, markets and supermarkets, etc.) and minuses (many tourists, high prices in restaurants, noisy, etc.) ...

Resort town Bar on the map

In the south of Montenegro, in close proximity to the Albanian border, the city of Bar is located. Closer to Albania is only Ulcinj, which is very different from other cities, and this is precisely because of its proximity to the border.

Many scold this city, in fact, there is a reason. I would not recommend choosing this resort for a beach holiday, although there are several beaches in Bar. But in it you should (without fail) visit the Old Town (Old Bar), go shopping (sometimes there are discounts on old collections) and scuba diving (there are several certified diving centers in the city).

Ferries to Italy leave from New Bar, which houses a large seaport, so anyone can visit the Italian city of Bari.

  1. On the Budva Riviera;
  2. On the Hercegnov Riviera (Boko Kotor Bay);
  3. Beaches of the New Bar;
  4. On the Ulcinj Riviera.

Montenegro has a long coastline, the country has more than 70 kilometers of the Adriatic coast, where you can find a beach for every taste and budget.

There are several types of beaches in the country: sandy (often with imported sand), small and coarse (the most common), rocky (it is better to have special shoes to enter the water).

Let's look at the map and see that it is convenient to combine the beaches by their location. We will divide the entire coast into several regions: the Budva Riviera, the Hercegnov Riviera (Boko-Kotor Bay), the beaches of Novy Bar, and the Ulcinj Riviera.

The beaches of the Budva Riviera

The beaches of the Budva Riviera should be found in the very center of the map. In Budva and the surrounding area, sand and pebble beaches prevail, some of them with rocky areas, but during the tourist season there are no vacant places on any of Budva's beaches. You can walk along all the beaches of the Budva Riviera (from Budva to Sveti Stefan) by following the link.

There are several popular beaches on the Budva Riviera: Lucice (Petrovac), Sveti Stefan, Morgen, Jaz and Ploce beaches. In the tourist season, all the beaches from Budva to Sveti Stefan are very popular, but the entrance to some costs space money (from 100 Euros and more).

Hercegnov's Riviera beaches

The best beaches in Boko Kotorska Bay are located on the Hercegnov Riviera, it is located at the very border with Croatia (from Herzen Novi to Croatian Dubrovnik, only 50 kilometers). It should be borne in mind that in Herceg Novi and in the entire Kotor Bay, there is no open sea, this is a bay with all the ensuing pluses and minuses.

The beaches on the Hercegnov Riviera, as in most places in the Boko Kotorska Bay, are rocky - this is not very convenient for swimming, and sometimes even dangerous. In the most touristy places of the bay, the coast is simply poured into concrete, and one should enter the sea using a ladder, as if it were a pool.

This sounds crazy, but all these inconveniences are perfectly compensated by the picturesque views. If you look at the photos of the concrete beaches of Herceg Novi, then it seems like nothing, but this is a matter of taste.

Beaches of New Bar

On the map, the city of Bar should be found south of Budva, it is located between the resort of Petrovac and the city of Ulcinj.

On the coast of Bar there are several good beaches, mostly sand and pebble, there is even a tiny beach with red, coral sand. But it should be remembered that New Bar is a large port and not the best place for a beach holiday.
